I'm Faran Peterson, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself with you. Originally from Georgia, I made my way to Colorado at a young age and have embarked on a diverse professional journey ever since.

Throughout my career, I've worn many hats, from barista to flight attendant to corporate professional. However, amidst all these experiences, one constant has remained: my passion for working with children. In fact, no matter what role I found myself in, I always made sure to continue nurturing my love for childcare by working as a dedicated nanny.

My deep fascination with the intricate processes and environments that shape a child's life led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Human and Family Development. Exploring the profound impact of a child's early years further ignited my curiosity, eventually leading me to discover the incredibly rewarding world of doula work.

My journey into the world of doulas began while nannying for a family that had enlisted the help of a doula during the initial months of their baby's life. Witnessing the invaluable support provided to the family sparked a fire within me. I embarked on an in-depth research journey, cultivated vital connections in the field, and eagerly enrolled in the DONA international training program. My conviction grew stronger as I realized the need for enhanced support systems for families during the transformative newborn stage.

My ultimate goal as a doula is to not only assist with the practical aspects of newborn care but also to extend comprehensive support to you, your partner, and your entire family. From managing household chores and preparing meals to tending to older siblings and even taking your fur-baby for a walk, I aim to create a nurturing environment that allows you all to relish in precious bonding moments with your newest addition.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I have the joy of being part of a blended family. In 2020, I married my husband, who brought two children into our lives—a smart and sassy 7-year-old daughter and an inquisitive and playful 5-year-old son. Although I missed out on their newborn stages, I cherish every moment we share together now.

During my downtime, you'll often find me pouring my heart into volunteering with a local dog rescue organization. They've not only enriched my life with two incredible pups but have also ignited a deep passion for supporting animal welfare causes. Outside of my professional life, you will find me exploring new coffee shops and breweries alongside my husband - savoring life's simple pleasures together.
